FINRA offers an online search resource for conducting web-based searches for FINRA and historical NASD arbitration awards. The service is free of charge and available 24/7.
Users can research FINRA awards, as well as historical awards for the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), American Stock Exchange, the Philadelphia Stock Exchange and the Municipal Securities Ruling Board. Searchable criteria includes document text or keywords, case number, award date (range) or an advanced search that includes a combination of these criteria. Search results can be view online, printed or as a downloadable PDF file.
As of February of this year (2012), FINRA has begun posting all court orders relating to arbitration awards. However, FINRA only post court orders when FINRA received copies of the orders. Searchers are encouraged to independently research whether the court has vacated, confirmed or modified an arbitrator’s past awards.
